Ravenkeeper Gundogs LTD give absolute assurance in making sure every dog we source and train is cared for to the upmost ability. We use non aggressive training methods and operate from a well established kennel site. We aim to be clear and transparent to our clients, so when viewing a dog we are happy for you to look around the kennels to see how we care for the dogs.

We pride ourselves on being a family run business, keeping small numbers of dogs for sale and in training to maximise the dogs welfare. We get to know each individual dog, enabling us to match them to the best client.

We use a trusted local Vets and we regularly ensure the dogs are of premium health. We do not hesitate to take a dog to be checked if there are any concerns or symptoms and all Ravenkeeper dogs are health checked before they go to their new home. This includes being wormed, deflead and vaccinated. Full details on vet checks and background of the dog are included in our aftercare package.

Lucy

We are so pleased with our Cocker Spaniel Lucy and the whole experience of re-homing her from RavenKeeper. Craig shared info on Lucy’s background and connected us with Dann, her trainer. Dann is brilliant. He informed on the process and service we would experience, and shared photos and videos of Lucy so we could get to know her. We also had a FaceTime call during a training session so we could see Lucy in action. Due to Covid-19 we had to wait a little longer to collect Lucy but Craig and Dann followed the regulations in place by the local council. When we collected Lucy, Dann gave us all the time we needed for the handover. Once home I had a behaviour issue to handle and Dann gave me some advice that worked perfectly. Special thanks to Dann, as we have a very happy Lucy.

‘We’re delighted with our choice to get our beautiful Labrador, Darcey, from Ravenkeeper. We got exactly as we were promised, a beautiful dog, perfectly trained. Our first week with Lenny at our home could not have been better, what a character, so keen to please with a beautiful temperament and excellent recall. Travelled home well without a murmur despite a journey of over 200 miles and settled in straight away, a testament to his care and training with Dan. Totally different from our experience with another establishment. If you are looking for a pet trained dog we cannot recommend Craig and the staff at Ravenkeeper more highly. We are looking forward to many year's of love and company from the lovely Lenny.

Having just got our Chester from Ravenkeeper we have been really pleased. We have had updates and information from before seeing him, and ongoing after he has been dropped off. Everything was in order, ie; vets, vaccinations etc, and training as you would expect for a family pet. All the help and information we have had has been excellent!

I have an 8 month old labrador who recently began pulling a lot to the extent that I no longer found walks with him enjoyable. I contacted Craig from Ravenkeeper Gundogs who was able to show me how to correct this problem behaviour in a positive way, whilst including me in every step of the training. I have been following his advice and guidance and saw a change almost immediately!!! I am now training daily and the rewards so far have given me the motivation to continue this and not give up. I would also like to work on recall around distractions, and how to greet people and other dogs in a calmer way. I will certainly be going back to Craig for help with this once we have mastered the art of heel! Thank you to Craig, I would highly recommend!!!

I had my older staffy dog on Wagg dog food which appears to disagree with her now, I have tried other expensive alternatives then I found this site I contacted them and they suggested I use the Original 20 formula I have had her on it for a week now, she loves it and it saving me a massive amount in money as well she is happy and so am I great service thanks.

Quick update on Lucy, first photo is Lucy practising her wait, she is doing really well, and a very quick learner, still head strong! We are carrying on with the fab training from Dann, the handover was indepth which has really helped us hugely so wanted to give feedback on that. Mac and I are very happy she brings so much joy into our lives. Thank you. Further update The team at Ravenkeeper Gundogs are excellent, very good customer service, listened to our needs when we were searching for our four legged companion. Professional throughout. The standard of training is evident, our dog has settled in to home life extremely well, we continue with the training and know we can call Craig for advice and guidance.

My 8 month old Labrador Poppy has just spent two weeks in residential training. The initial meeting highlighted typical teenage problems – pulling on the lead, distracted by anything, overexcited when meeting other dogs and people and poor recall. I received regular updates via text and video of Poppy’s progress from Dan her trainer. After her short spell of training we are now back on track, she walks much better on the lead, recall is improved and she is much calmer around other dogs and people. She now has manners and is a pleasure to take out. Many thanks to Craig and especially Dan. Further update My 8 month old Labrador Poppy has just spent 2 weeks residential training with Dan who is one of Ravenkeeper Gundogs trainers. Dan kept in touch throughout via text and video. I had hit a brick wall with her focus, heel work and recall, since coming home she is much improved, being such a young dog her ongoing training continues with me now. She is a pleasure to take out now. I would recommend Ravenkeeper Gundogs and her trainer Dan who Poppy obviously adores now.
