Standard Training
Ravenkeeper Gundogs offer a bespoke service for training problem or difficult dogs. This can be exclusive one to one sessions, or a residential training programme. We aim to work closely with clients who have a dog that they cannot instill training in, and offer support and advice to help both owner and dog overcome their training problems.
Our one to one sessions are ideal if you need help in teaching your dog basic commands such as sit, down, walking at heel and general manners. Our residential courses give the dog an opportunity to be kennel or crate trained, learn basic commands and overcome behavioural issues. This is not just for dogs who struggle with training, we also offer residential packages for training therapy or assistance dogs.
Crucially the dog is only as good as their trainer, so we offer clients support on how to work with, and get the best out of, their dog. One to One Training for Puppies
Booking a puppy consultation with us can be the best action you can take to ensure you and your companion get the best possible start to life together.
We always conduct a home visit for puppies to enable us to see the home set-up, therefore allowing for the most efficient training and day-to-day routines to be put in place so you and your pup can get the best out of living with each other. Some of the issues we can help address are:
- Toilet training
- Play-biting
- Crate training
- Teething
We will also emphasise future training and prevention so your puppy’s training and behavior can become ‘future-proof’!
Puppy consultations are approximately two hours and include the visit from ourselves, a personalised training programme and a follow-up report so you can follow each stage correctly as your puppy grows.
Behavioural Issues
Ravenkeeper Gun Dogs offer consultations for behavioral issues.We are happy to work on ANY aspects of your dog’s behavior and training, from common puppy problems through to help with fear or aggression. All consultations and training sessions are followed up with a comprehensive report emailed to you within 24 hours so you can be sure that you are on the right track. Your report can also be emailed to your vet on request to ensure all parties involved in your dog’s welfare are aware of any training in progress.
